Introduction

220 years ago keeping with the traditionally rich Sankari Sanskriti and propagating social harmony and the neo-vaishnavite philosophy as preached by the Saint Srimanta Sankaradeva, the people of Jamugurihat started organising the Barechaharia Bhowna. The Barechaharia Bhowna since then is celebrated with an interval of 5 years with the same zeal and anticipation. this time again the Barechaharia Bhowna would be celebrated with pomp and glory from the 1st of March to the 4th of March, 2018. The people of the region around Jamugurihat are eagerly and lovingly awaiting to welcome one and all to give the people a chance to show their respect and hospitality.
